Wild Prairie Flowers-Nature's Beauty

It's always a fun adventure travelling the prairies of North Dakota. The Yellow Salsify has a white seedhead and is somewhat similar to the common dandelion, but much larger, up to 4 inches across. It is an invasive weed in many states. The taproot is edible, with a flavor of oysters, giving it the Wild Oysterplant common name.
