This was a fun photo shoot from this past weekend. Local FM Photographers had a shooting window of 48 hours to record 'life in the FM.' I'm excited that 2 of my prints were selected to hang on the NDSU Memorial Union Gallery walls: Tree Absorption and Ditch Melt. As an extra bonus, a digital slideshow of all the submissions will run on a monitor on the gallery wall.

My print, "Lift Off" is on display Reception, March 26, from 5p-10p at the Spirit Room, 111 Broadway, Fargo DESCRIPTION: Join us for an evening of celebration of our winter companion, the Crow: visual art, sculpture, poetry, song and dance. The Great Winter Crow Show at the Spirit Room, held in alternate years, is a non-competitive festive exhibition. It is intended to be a mad combining of energies and visual ingredients. The theme is the crow, the blackbird, and their marvelous and malevolent associations. The crows and ravens keep us company in the wintertime and continue to remind us with their squawks and pacing that they keep a close eye on our behaviors and movements. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Scott Seiler, a fine art landscape photographer from Fargo, ND has been named an Artist-In-Residence by The Arts Partnership. Seiler will have his photographs on display at Myriad Mobile, a mobile app development company based in Fargo, ND from February 23 through June 23, 2016. Seiler’s Exhibit, “Rural Perspectives—Landscapes and Architecture,” captures the often stark, occasionally surprising beauty of this horizontal landscape in which we live. The landscapes include abandoned farmsteads or churches, poignant reminders of the rural lifestyle of a sometime recent past. Seiler’s interests in landscape and architecture stem from a childhood on the rugged, unspoiled prairie of western North Dakota. As a child, he roamed his family’s ranch, learning to appreciate the beauty of the prairie and the importance of quiet observation. Members of the community at large are invited to view Seiler’s work, which is also for purchase, at Myriad Mobile in the Meadowlark Building (503 7th St. N., Fargo, ND) during regular business hours throughout the duration of the exhibit. Seiler is currently a marketing and communications strategist in Fargo, ND and a partner at Gallery 4, Ltd. Visit and learn more about his work on Facebook, [email protected], or www.ScottSeiler.net. ###
