The winters can be harsh. However, there is beauty in every season in the Midwest. I like the way black and white photography creates an intriguing look to some of my winter photographs. The long, winter shadows are cast on the blanket of snow creating an almost imaginary setting. If only the subzero temperatures were imaginary.
