My artwork is officially installed! My landscape photograph, “North Dakota Cloud Collage,” is now wrapped on the utility box on Broadway in Downtown Fargo, next to Spicy Pie and the Fargo Theatre.
In all, seven artists were selected to have their work on different utility boxes in Downtown Fargo. The artwork will be wrapped on electrical boxes by Downtown business, Office Sign Co., will install the vinyl wrap on the electrical boxes. This will make them long-lasting and weatherproof. Here’s some background on the project: There are several communities that choose to bring artwork to the utility boxes to improve the community, is great for tourism and makes visitors ask, “Why don’t we live here?” Some of those communities include: Moorhead, MN, River Falls, WI, and Deadwood, SD among several others. The Downtown Community Partnership, the Business Improvement District and The Arts Partnership are some of the organizations involved in kick starting the project. A big thank you to all of the organizations and business who have contributed to the project: Fargo Arts and Culture Commission, The Arts Partnership, Bell Bank, Kilbourne Group, Warner and Company, Business Improvement District, Downtown Community Partnership, U.S. Bank, Office Sign Company, Casey Schaefer, Knight Printing. #art #supportlocalart #utilityboxes #downtownart #fargo #ScottSeilerPhotography #murals #electrical boxes
